Excellent place! Great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. but still quiet. The bungalow had great amenities, was laid out well for a smaller space, and was lovely inside and out. Bed and linens were awesome. Nice little seating area in the courtyard. Air conditioning and WiFi both worked very well too; great a/c was really appreciated because there was a bit of a hot spell when we visited San Diego. Highly recommended!

We had a great 6 night stay at Alcazar! The apartment was nicely furnished, was very clean, & had everything we needed. The ability to pack the bed away created a nice space & was quick & easy to do every morning before we left. The apartment was quiet & we felt safe being tucked away behind the gate & at the back of the property. The location made it easy to walk to cafes, restaurants, bars etc & we even walked to Little Italy one morning. Everything else we wanted to visit was a short Uber ride away. Check in & all communication with Donna was very easy. We had a great time & would definitely recommend to others visiting San Diego!

The bungalow we stayed in was exactly as described and was more than enough room for 3 people. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals when we wanted and the entire home was spacious and clean. It is about 3 miles away from the Gaslamp district and there are several grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance of the bungalow. We would definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in San Diego.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alcazar Court in Hillcrest (San Diego). This 1924 Spanish Revival bungalow property couldn’t have been more magical. They recently rejuvenated the entire property. Clearly no expense spared. The decor, kitchen, bathroom, patio and finishes were amazing. It’s a truly special place. Management is courteous and attentive. Didn’t want to leave. We look forward to visiting next year for Pride. Couldn’t fathom a better accommodation. Thank you Alcazar Court management.

This place was *amazing* and far exceeded my expectations. The Hillcrest neighborhood is super cute and all is within walking distance. We were there over Pride weekend and even with the busy crowds, we couldn’t hear any street noise from the apartment. Bed is comfortable, [studio] unit is cozy but spacious enough for two (especially with the Murphy bed design), and the full kitchen & laundry makes this a super livable space for longer trips. I would 100% stay here again!

Donna’s beautiful bungalow is amazing in every way. From the location, to the classic Spanish style to every detail she thought about. It’s incredibly clean and the patio area was our favorite to relax and enjoy the San Diego sun. We loved that it was easy walking to great restaurants, cafes and Balboa Park. Another favorite was just how thoughtful Donna was with the amenities. She had everything and more stocked for us to enjoy. Thank you and we will be back!

Every inch of the small space was thought about and perfectly planned and very classically stylish. Also easiest breeziest check in and out!

This little bungalow was quite charming, all in all. Our stay was, all in all, mostly quite pleasant. I’m a native San Diegan, and revisiting the history of the 2nd international exhibition in Balboa Park through the artifacts and decor was fascinating. The property is quite compact, but for a couple it’s more than sufficient. There are just a couple of minor nits that kept the place from being absolutely perfect, but it would not keep us from recommending the place to others: There is no dedicated parking. We were successful enough at finding on-street parking, but that was somewhat aided by the fact that we have handicapped parking privileges and there is a dedicated handicapped spot at the end of the block. Visiting without a car and car-sharing instead is quite reasonable given where the place is located. I was able to comfortably walk to Walgreens and Starbucks and passed a number of other restaurants and shops on my way. The mattress on the bed was quite soft for us, but that may be a matter of personal preference. Lastly, we sort of thought the place was a bit musty when we arrived, but we’ve stayed in a lot of places in San Diego, and it seems to be fairly universal. What helped a lot was that the split unit air conditioner in the unit that had a “dry” setting on it. That made a big difference.

We loved our stay at Alcazar Court. The bungalows have been beautifully restored and are pristine. Extra touches were left throughout the home to make our stay more enjoyable. I loved spending time outside in the courtyard, and the Hillcrest community has great restaurants that are all walking distance. Even a Whole Foods was just down the street. We needed a coffee grinder, and one was delivered to us the next day. Our three-night stay was enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend Alcazar Court!
